2024 Gear Preview: Dynastar M-Tour 108
Dynastar added the M-Tour 108 to their backcountry lineup this year, and we’re intrigued. A brand born and bred in Chamonix should know how to make touring ski, after all. The widest of their backcountry skis, it has a power-ready 108 mm waist (at the 187 cm size). It boasts Dynastar’s new Hybrid Core 2.0 construction, which is both lightweight and eco-friendly with more milling and joinery to bond the wood than glue and fiberglass. Its main material is poplar wood combined with polyurethane, which is why this ski weighs in at 1,450 grams per ski (171 cm)—pretty impressive for a ski this wide. We expect it will float like a dream, and if it skis anything like the Tour 99, it’ll be versatile in chunder and windboard, too. Full sidewall sandwich construction, rockered tips and tails, unidirectional fiberglass reinforcement.
