Lawsuit Filed over 2019 Colorado Avalanche Accident

On January 5, 2019 a man participating in a Level 2 avalanche course, was killed in an avalanche accident near Red Mountain Pass, Colorado.  The family of the victim have recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the course instructor, Silverton Avalanche School, local Search and Rescue, and the manufacturer of the avalanche airbag the victim was wearing along with that company’s private equity firm owner.
